Manager’s Corner – December 2019

Things are Happening Here at Covered Bridge: Happy Holidays from your Board of Directors and myself.  I am so excited for all the wonderful things happening on the property in November and December.  Our first Ladies Coffee happened on December 13 and I had the privilege and honor to host  a wonderful turnout.  I am so thankful for all the ladies that came, both new and long-term residents of the community.  Our two newest vendors were represented as well.  Brightview Landscaping and American Momentum Bank  shared some delightful treats (some of which were homemade for the occasion).  I look forward to making this a frequent event for ladies in the community and thank those volunteers that came to help me set up and serve.

2019 Holiday Party:  I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to Frank Florio who volunteered to play the role of Santa Clause  at our Holiday Party on December 15.  If you weren’t there you missed an excellent event.  Santa posed for pictures as over 60 children came to sit on his lap and receive a small gift from Santa’s “elf.”  We served twenty pizzas, several dozen chicken wings, loads of cookies and punch and had a great opportunity to meet new neighbors.  What a joyous time!

Watch for More Clubhouse Work in February:  We are on schedule to have the windows replaced in the Clubhouse in early February.  These windows are special order, hurricane rated, and will allow us to finish the window treatments in the main room.

Also being planned is the repair of the pool coping and pavers in the pool area.  The alcove will be updated with a driveway type of coating with the possibility of including our Covered Bridge Estates logo.

Accounting Software Update: By now you should have received your new payment books for 2020 assessments.  This is the first step toward moving to our new accounting system called CINC and the rollout of a homeowner portal that will allow you to log in using your web browser to pay your assessments, enter modification requests, review your balances, check on violations (if they exist), and much more.  I am super excited for this new system because it will make our office more efficient while giving you direct access to your account.
